Daniella’s Gelateria – Gelato Store Coming to Greenwich Avenue!
During my stroll down Greenwich Avenue a few days ago, I noticed that where the Hairstylist used to be (a few stores down from Starbucks), had a huge sign in the window announcing that a new gelato shop is coming soon.
My love for ice cream and gelato had the little girl inside of me jumping up and down with excitement. I will definitely be one of their first customers and will come back with a full review, as soon as they open. I have searched the Internet to see if I can find any information about Daniella’s Gelateria (who is opening it? are there other locations? is it made on location? etc.), but I have not been able to find anything. If anyone knows more about our new gelato store coming to the Avenue, then by all means, share what you know!
The location is great, though it can be a mixed blessing for Daniella’s Gelateria to be situated so close to Starbucks. These are the stores to the left of the ice cream shop:
Also, directly to the right of Daniella’s Gelateria is the Patisserie / Restaurant called Versailles, which will be moving down the Avenue a few store fronts… but it will be interesting none-the-less to see if the location helps Daniella’s with people eating at Versailles and having dessert a few stores up, or perhaps Daniella’s will only get foot traffic of other people strolling down Greenwich Avenue:
I am curious if Daniella’s Gelateria will carry other items besides for gelato… baked good perhaps? I always worry a bit about gelato / ice cream stores in the winter who offer nothing else. I’ll keep digging around for details on Greenwich’s up and coming gelato store and will report back with all of my findings!

It is a very exciting venture for my clients. They are local and have settled into Greenwich nicely. Yelena is gorgeous and talented. She moved up from the city to start a new business. They will be making their own gelati in the store. She named the business after her daughter who is 8 years old. There will be surprises to come. Look for the Grand Opening signs.
