Greco’s Bella Cucina is one of the best kept secrets in Greenwich, CT.  In fact, my friend who introduced me to Bella Cucina begged me not to write a post about this delicious Italian restaurant so that it would not become too difficult to get in… but I would never do that to my loyal readers!  If you love Italian food, you do not need to go to Arthur Avenue for the most authentic and delicious Italian Restaurant.  Located at 160 Hamilton Avenue, Greco’s Bella Cucina is a tiny little Italian joint that you have probably passed many times, but next time stop inside and you will not be disappointed.  The prices cannot be beat, but most importantly, the food is top quality Italian fare.  If you are in the mood for pizza, the owners of Bella Cucina also own Pizza Express next door.  Pizza Express in Greenwich, CT delivers pizza as well – to order delivery call them at 203-622-1693.   Here is a visual tour of the delicious meal I had at Bella Cucina the other night.

As soon as you sit down at one of the handful of tables at Bella Cucina, they bring you a plate of freshly baked bread and high quality olive oil.  I always like to ask for the focaccia bread, but on this particular evening they were out of their delicious focaccia bread.

Next, we ordered an anti-pasta platter of the most delicious Italian meats and cheeses.

The salad at Bella Cucina is always fresh, and they are very generous with their gorgonzola cheese on their Gorgonzola Cheese salad.  Their balsamic vinaigrette is the house dressing, and absolutely to die for.  I would come here just for the salad and balsamic vinaigrette!

One of my favorite pasta dishes at Bella Cucina is the cavetelli (which is homemade pasta) with vodka sauce, which is literally out-of-this-world.  Bella Cucina’s vodka sauce is the perfect combination of tomato, creamy, cheesy goodness.

Please save a tiny bit of room for dessert, because these made to order canoli’s are worth the calories.  If you cannot manage to eat a full size canoli, at least promise me that you will try a mini-canoli!

Before leaving, take home some of their fresh mozzarella cheese… or how about some of their balsamic vinegar from the big vat of delicious balsamic vinegar on the back shelf?  You can even order game birds and meat like rabbits, duck, turkeys, capons, quail, pheasants, geese, goats, lamb, soup hens, roosters… I told you this place is no joke, it is the real deal!
